Cost per Click in Dubai by Industry: 2026 Search Data
A click on a commercial Google query for marketing and web services in the UAE costs about $6 to $43 (AED 24 to 158), with SEO queries at the top and price-research queries at the bottom.
A click on a commercial Google query for marketing and web services in the UAE costs between about $6 and $43 (AED 24 to 158), according to OpenSEO data for the UAE in English, October 2026. SEO queries are the most expensive at $23 to $43. Price-research and freelance queries are the cheapest at $6 to $10.
The dataset below covers four service niches: SEO, web design, video production and WhatsApp tools. If you run a restaurant, clinic or rental company, use the method in the second half of this article to price your own queries. For broader industry ranges, the Savage Media journal has a separate piece on Google Ads cost per click by industry in the UAE.
The numbers: CPC by query in the UAE
All figures come from OpenSEO, October 2026, UAE. "Monthly searches" is the number of searches per month. KD is keyword difficulty for organic ranking, on a scale of 0 to 100. AED values use the fixed peg of 3.6725 per US dollar, rounded.
| Query | Monthly searches | KD | CPC, USD | CPC, AED |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| local seo dubai | 170 | 0 | 43.0 | 158 |
| seo expert dubai | 720 | 41 | 28.6 | 105 |
| seo company / services / agency in dubai, seo in dubai | 1,300 to 8,100 | 33 to 52 | 23 to 43 | 84 to 158 |
| web design dubai | 2,900 | 59 | 21.0 | 77 |
| corporate video production dubai | 90 | n/a | 20.7 | 76 |
| website development company in dubai | 1,600 | 40 | 16.0 | 59 |
| web design company dubai | 1,600 | 6 | 16.0 | 59 |
| whatsapp api | 880 | n/a | 15.0 | 55 |
| video production dubai | 480 | 32 | 14.5 | 53 |
| whatsapp business api | 720 | 50 | 13.9 | 51 |
| ecommerce website development dubai | 320 | 28 | 13.5 | 50 |
| website development cost in dubai | 90 | 1 | 9.6 | 35 |
| freelance web designer dubai | 140 | 3 | 6.4 | 24 |
The most expensive query on the list costs almost seven times as much as the cheapest one, and both belong to the same broad industry.
How far to trust these figures
OpenSEO CPC is an estimate built from advertiser bids. Your Google invoice will show a different number. Use the table as a range to plan around, and keep these points in mind:
- Low-volume data is noisy. In this dataset, 10 searches per month is the minimum mark, so a query showing 10 may get fewer.
- CPC estimates change with the season. In the UAE, demand and competition shift around events, holidays and Ramadan, so an October figure is a snapshot.
- The numbers exclude VAT. UAE VAT is 5%, so check whether your Google invoice adds it before you compare costs against your budget.
The table is most useful for seeing which queries sit high and which sit low relative to each other. That ranking is more stable than any single dollar figure.
Why "local seo dubai" costs more than "web design dubai"
CPC reflects what advertisers think a client from that query is worth. Someone typing "local seo dubai" knows the service by name and has a specific problem: visibility on Google Maps. That person is close to hiring. Agencies that sell monthly retainers can afford to pay $43 for them.
"Web design dubai" gets 17 times more searches, but the people behind it are a mix: students, designers looking for inspiration, and owners comparing prices. More traffic with weaker intent pulls the average price down to $21.
Video shows the same pattern. "Corporate video production dubai" costs $20.7, against $14.5 for "video production dubai". The word "corporate" signals a company budget and a specific brief.
For your own niche, expect the highest CPC on queries that combine three things: a named service, a location, and a buyer word like "company", "clinic" or "near me".
Cheap queries: price research and freelancers
"Freelance web designer dubai" costs $6.4 and "website development cost in dubai" costs $9.6. Their keyword difficulty is 3 and 1. People searching these terms are still deciding: they compare options or set a budget, so fewer advertisers bid on them.
Cheap clicks suit you if:
- your offer is priced for small businesses and you show the price on the landing page;
- you can answer a cost question on the first screen and put a WhatsApp button right below it;
- you have a calculator, a price table or a short guide that keeps the visitor reading.
If you sell premium work, these clicks cost you little and bring people who leave once they see your quote.
High CPC plus low KD: a signal to build a page
"Local seo dubai" pairs the top CPC ($43) with KD 0. "Web design company dubai" pairs $16 with KD 6. When advertisers pay a lot for a query that is easy to rank for organically, a well-built page can collect that traffic without paying per click.
Paid search gets you clicks this week. An organic page takes longer to start working, but it keeps bringing visitors after you stop paying. Before you raise ad budgets, check your own queries for this pattern. Then see how to structure a small business site for SEO.
Turn a click price into cost per lead
A CPC figure tells you little until you connect it to leads and clients. The formulas:
- Cost per lead = CPC ÷ landing page conversion rate
- Cost per client = cost per lead ÷ share of leads that buy
- Maximum CPC you can afford = client value × share of leads that buy × conversion rate
Hypothetical example: a web studio bids on "website development company in dubai" at $16 (AED 59). One click in 20 sends a WhatsApp message, which is a 5% conversion rate. Cost per lead is $320, about AED 1,175. One lead in four signs a contract, so the cost per client is $1,280, about AED 4,700. If the average project is AED 15,000, the campaign pays for itself. If the average project is AED 4,000, it loses money on every client.
Two levers sit outside the auction: your landing page conversion rate and how fast someone answers the lead. Doubling the conversion rate from 5% to 10% halves the cost per lead at the same CPC.
How to price clicks in your own niche
The table covers service niches. For a café, clinic, salon or car rental, you can run this check in an afternoon:
- List 20 to 30 queries a buyer would type, in English and in any other language your clients use. Include the district ("dental clinic jumeirah"), the service and buyer words.
- Open Google Keyword Planner and set the location to the UAE or your emirate. Note the low and high "top of page bid" for each query.
- Group the queries by intent: ready to book, comparing, researching. Expect the first group to cost the most.
- Calculate the maximum CPC you can afford with the formula above, using your real client value and close rate.
- Drop every query whose estimate sits above your maximum, unless it is a brand query or a small test.
- Run a test that buys at least 100 clicks on the main group. Put UTM parameters on every ad link so you can see which query sent which lead.
If most of your leads arrive in WhatsApp, set up tracking before you spend anything. The method is in tracking leads from WhatsApp.
What moves your real CPC
Your invoice will rarely match the estimate. These factors are in your control:
- Ad and landing page relevance. Google gives each keyword a Quality Score from 1 to 10. A page that matches the query lowers what you pay for the same ad position.
- Match types. Broad match pulls in loosely related searches at lower prices, which can wreck your cost per lead. Start with phrase and exact match on your core queries.
- Location settings. By default, Google can show your ads to people abroad who are "interested in" Dubai. If you serve walk-in or local clients, switch to people located in your area.
- Schedule. If nobody answers WhatsApp after 22:00, stop the ads at 22:00. Clicks that wait until morning for a reply raise your real cost per client.
- Negative keywords. In the first week, add terms like "jobs", "course", "free" and "salary".
My view on search versus Instagram
In my experience, Instagram targeting in Dubai is crowded, and many of the results promised in ad pitches do not hold up. On search, the person has typed the problem themselves.
I run ads on Google, TikTok, Instagram and Yandex. I also test less crowded platforms like Pinterest and Threads, where fewer competitors advertise. Beyond paid channels, I put weight on SEO and on how the business handles the lead after the click. More on this in why Instagram ads disappoint in Dubai. If you want help setting up and running campaigns, see ad management.
What not to do
- Judging a channel by CPC alone. A $43 click that signs a retainer is worth more than a $6 click that asks for a discount and disappears.
- Sending ad traffic to the home page. Each query group needs its own page that answers the query on the first screen, with a price or next step and a WhatsApp button.
- Leaving broad match and default location on. Both are common reasons a test budget ends with clicks and no leads.
- Stopping a test after 30 clicks. At a 5% conversion rate, 30 clicks give you one or two leads, which is too few to judge anything.
- Comparing estimates without VAT and currency. Convert to AED, add 5% VAT, and compare against your monthly budget in the same units.
- Bidding on competitor brand names without a plan. The searcher wanted someone else, so budget for a lower conversion rate and check it in the first week.
Checklist
- Write 20 to 30 buyer queries per service and language.
- Pull low and high top-of-page bids from Keyword Planner for your emirate.
- Mark queries with high CPC and low keyword difficulty as candidates for an organic page.
- Calculate your maximum affordable CPC from client value, close rate and conversion rate.
- Build one landing page per query group, with a price or next step and a WhatsApp button.
- Use phrase and exact match, target people located in your area, match the ad schedule to your reply hours, and add a negative keyword list.
- Tag every ad link with UTM parameters and connect WhatsApp leads to their source.
- Buy at least 100 clicks on the main group. Then cut queries whose cost per lead sits above your limit and move that budget to the queries below it.
Questions and answers
How much does a Google Ads click cost in Dubai?
It depends on the query. In OpenSEO data for the UAE (October 2026), service queries range from $6.4 for 'freelance web designer dubai' to $43 for 'local seo dubai'. Your own niche needs its own check in Keyword Planner and a test budget.
Is a high CPC a bad sign?
No. A high CPC means advertisers expect a click on that query to turn into paying work. What matters is your cost per lead and cost per client, which depend on your landing page and how fast you reply.
How big should a test budget be?
Enough to buy at least 100 clicks on your main query group, so you can see a conversion rate. At $16 per click that is about $1,600 (AED 5,876) before VAT.
Why do my real click prices differ from the estimates?
Estimates average many advertisers. Your price moves with your ad quality, landing page, match types, location settings, schedule and how many competitors bid that week.
